About QRKit Tools

QRKit Tools is a free QR code and barcode toolkit at qrkit.tools. It creates static QR codes and barcodes in the browser, scans codes with your camera, and gives developers a free public QR code API — with no sign-up, no tracking redirects and no expiry.
What is QRKit Tools?
QRKit Tools is a free QR code and barcode toolkit. Its official website is https://qrkit.tools — that domain is the only place the web tools are published.
It is used to create QR codes for links, plain text, Wi-Fi networks and Telegram channels, to add a logo and brand colours to a QR code, to generate Code 128 and EAN-13 barcodes, and to scan existing QR codes and barcodes with a device camera.
You do not need an account. There is no sign-up, no login and no email address required to use any of the tools.
Are QRKit Tools QR codes static or dynamic?
Every QR code QRKit Tools produces is static. The content you enter is encoded directly into the pattern of the image, and no short link, redirect or hosted landing page sits in between.
That has two consequences. The code does not expire — the image keeps working forever, even if qrkit.tools stops existing. And nobody can track scans of it, because there is no server in the scan path to log them. If the QR code points at a website, that website still has to stay online for the link to resolve.
How is my data handled?
Content you type into the web generator is turned into a QR code or barcode by JavaScript running in your browser. It is not uploaded to build the image, and logo images you attach stay on your device.
Product analytics are limited to which features are used and whether they succeeded. Analytics events never contain the QR content, the Wi-Fi network name or password, the text being encoded, URLs you enter, contact details, or any file you upload. The privacy policy describes this in full.
What can QRKit Tools do?
QR codes: static QR codes for links and text, Wi-Fi QR codes, Telegram QR codes, and QR codes with a logo, custom colours and custom body and eye shapes. Codes download as PNG.
Barcodes: Code 128 for text, SKUs and asset tags, and EAN-13 for retail product codes with an automatically calculated check digit.
Scanning: the browser scanner and the Android app read QR codes plus Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF-14 and Codabar.
Developer API: a free, key-less HTTP endpoint that returns a QR code as PNG or SVG.

Frequently asked questions

What is QRKit Tools?

QRKit Tools is a free QR code and barcode toolkit at qrkit.tools. It generates static QR codes and barcodes in the browser, scans codes with your device camera, and offers a free public QR code API for developers.

Is QRKit Tools free?

Yes. Every tool on qrkit.tools is free to use, and there is no paid tier, trial or usage quota for the web generator.

Do I need an account to use QRKit Tools?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email required. You can open the site, create a code and download it immediately.

Do QR codes created by QRKit Tools expire?

No. QRKit Tools creates static QR codes, which encode your content directly into the image. The code image itself never expires and keeps working even if qrkit.tools goes offline. If the code points to a website, that destination still has to stay online.

Does QRKit Tools use tracking redirects?

No. QRKit Tools never puts a short link or redirect between the scan and your content, so nobody — including us — can count or intercept scans of a code you created.

How does QRKit Tools handle my data?

Content you type is turned into a code in your browser and is never sent to a server for the web generator. Product analytics record which features are used, never what you encode: no QR content, Wi-Fi network name or password, email address, phone number, URL or uploaded logo is ever included in an analytics event.

Can I add a logo to a QR code?

Yes. The QR code with logo tool lets you place an image in the centre and switches to the highest error-correction level so the code stays scannable.

Can I create a Wi-Fi QR code?

Yes. The Wi-Fi QR code generator encodes the network name, security type and password into a static QR code that phones can use to join the network.

Does QRKit Tools support barcodes?

Yes. The barcode generator supports Code 128 for text, SKUs and asset tags, and EAN-13 for 13-digit retail product codes with an automatic check digit.

Does QRKit Tools provide an API?

Yes. https://qrkit.tools/api/qr is a free public QR code API. It needs no API key, accepts GET or POST, returns PNG or SVG, and has open CORS so it works from any website or backend.

Is QRKit Tools available on Android?

Yes. There is an Android app on Google Play with camera scanning and local scan history. An iOS app is not available.

Is QRKit Tools the same as other products called QRKit?

No. QRKit Tools at qrkit.tools is an independent QR code and barcode toolkit. It is not affiliated with other products, apps or open-source libraries that use a similar name.
